Lorrie received her first teacher training from YogaWorks, and since has attended a great number of intensives, immersions and workshops expanding her knowledge of movement, the subtle body, breath, mind, sound — and how they interact. She has had the privilege of studying and learning various styles and methods from many teachers, and particularly draws inspiration from the teachings of Pema Chodran.
A new dimension was added to her life when she co-founded Interactive-Yoga with Brian Yuen, spring-boarding off the workshops they were teaching together including AcroYoga, partner yoga and yoga nidra workshops, and vigorous vinyasa classes. Teaching yoga to U.S. Veterans, yoga to children with autism, leading restorative workshops/classes, and sharing the magic and support of partner, acrobatic, and Thai yoga massage - the healing art practice of meta/loving kindness has expanded Lorrie's heart infinitely. She encourages students to explore, discover and cultivate their potential to bring lightness and a greater sense of ease into their practice and into their lives.
